FREMONT, CA: Graduation season is quickly approaching, and in many parts of the world, restrictions on social events are still in place to fight the coronavirus. vFairs, the principal platform for hybrid and virtual events, is now offering schools, colleges, and universities immersive, personalized virtual graduation ceremonies with features like building a virtual campus environment and 3D modeling to make the experience truly unforgettable.
According to a survey conducted by Educause Review in March 2020, 49 percent of colleges and universities have decided to postpone their 2020 commencement ceremonies, 14 percent have agreed to cancel commencement entirely, and 14 percent have scheduled a virtual ceremony. vFairs allows schools to create a virtual graduation ceremony in a virtual environment instead of holding a live webinar or virtual conference call.

vFairs may create personalized three-dimensional versions of a school's campus, stadium, or auditorium. The vFairs platform, for example, can build virtual worlds that can range from a community college campus to a ceremony on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The platform can also be used to create virtual avatars of graduates wearing caps and gowns. As a result, students, parents, and faculty will recall an immersive virtual experience.
"In response to the ongoing pandemic, many schools are planning early virtual graduations this year," said Muhammad Younas, CEO, vFairs. "Even though they can't attend a physical ceremony there's no reason students should feel left out of their graduation. Our virtual environments are designed to make you feel as though you are actually there and leave a lasting impression on graduates and their families."

vFairs provides additional functionality to involve participants in addition to providing a virtual graduation ceremony atmosphere. Students can access a virtual yearbook and participate in quiz competitions, scavenger hunts, and other activities. They can even post their memories on social media. Administrators will input student IDs for graduating students and restrict access to registered students, family, and friends to control access to the graduation. If desired, they may also host an open graduation.
Virtual graduation ceremonies are one of the immersive conference environments planned especially for schools and colleges that vFairs provides. Other resources include Virtual Open Days, which include information about the school, programs, staff, and admissions; Alumni Networking Events, which enable students to meet with alumni and faculty from around the world; and Virtual Job Fairs, which link students and alumni with prospective employers in a virtual environment to speed up the hiring process.
A virtual environment can be created for any group event or networking events, such as a guest lecture series, a stage show, team-building exercises, and more, using the vFairs platform. Designing and hosting an event takes about 4 to 6 weeks from idea to execution, depending on the event's specifications.
