ContentEngine has launched CE NAFTA 2.0—USMCA Newswire to cover government, institutions, think tanks, and groups that are interested in the trade deal that governs over $1 trillion in trade between the US, Canada, and Mexico.
FREMONT, CA: The North American Free Trade Deal is a trilateral trade agreement signed by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The deal took effect on January 1, 1994, and it replaced the 1988 Canada–United States Free Trade Agreement between the two countries. NAFTA is one of the world's largest trade blocs in terms of gross domestic product.
A new deal has been just signed between the United States of America, the United Mexican States, and Canada, although it has yet to be ratified. In the United States, it is known as the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (USMCA); in Canada, it is officially known as the Canada–United States–Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) in English (though it is commonly referred to as "USMCA" in English-language Canadian media) and the Accord Canada–États-Unis–Mexique (ACEUM) in French; and in Mexico, it is known as the United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement (US (T-MEC). The pact is frequently referred to as "New NAFTA" or "NAFTA 2.0" in allusion to the previous trilateral agreement, the North American Free Trade Agreement, which it is intended to replace (NAFTA). NAFTA 2.0 CE (Mexico Content) ContentEngine, LLC. in Mexico City produces and curates the English and Spanish versions daily from various non-media government, institutional, industry, trade, and research sources. The bilateral pact governs more than $1 trillion in annual commerce between the three countries.
