Advanced Antenna Systems for Improved Radio Access Network Performance
Martech Outlook | Friday, February 01, 2019
The performance requirements of end-users continue to increase, placing high demands on the radio access network to provide greater coverage, capacity, and end-user performance. Today, the use of data is growing much faster than the corresponding revenues. Mobile network operators must, therefore, develop the radio access network in a way that reduces costs per bit while meeting new end-user performance requirements. To fulfill this requirement, the telecommunications industry is switching to advanced antenna systems (AAS).
